Overview
This model recommends products that are most popular on the website based on the specified customer events.
You can configure this model to create various types of recommendation strategies by
Assigning varied importance to customer event(s) such as Add to wishlist, Pageviews, Buy, and Add to Cart.
Specifying attributes to identify the most popular products in addition to customer event(s)
Configuration Examples
Example 1:

Result:
Recommend products that were bought most number of times in the last 7 days with products bought the most recent appearing first.
Example 2:

Attributes to determine if additional products should be added to the results
Price
Result:
Recommend products that were bought most number of times in the last 7 days with no priority given to the buy event's recency and also include products in the price range of the all-time most bought products.

Result:
Recommend products priced greater than $30 that was bought more times in the last 7 days giving higher priority to products bought most recently.
Configure Trending Products
Choose Assets > Strategies from the top navigation bar.
Click New Strategy.
Choose Journey-aware > Trending Products. The Manage Strategy page is displayed.
Click to configure model parameters.
Edit the following model parameters:
Indicate whether you want to give high priority to products that were recently engaged with.
Choose product attributes from the drop-down to identify if additional products should be included in the recommendation. The default attribute is the brand.
Note: Click Reset to Default to restore model parameters to default values.
Indicate whether you want to apply 1:1 affinity-based personalization on the model.
Note: If you choose yes, the configured model parameters will be used as a starting point to deliver product recommendations, and thereafter the recommendations will be based on individual customer's affinities

If you optionally want to include business rules, click Add a new business rule.
Click Done.
