1. How does the audience overlap info work?

Overlap Info shows the number of users that belong to more than one audience preset (other than the selected audience). In such a scenario, they are randomly assigned to an audience, unless they are already part of an A/B test.

  1. How different are Experiments from A/B tests?

Experiments refer to publishing journeys associated with an audience. An experiment that has more than one journey associated is an A/B test.

  1. If a user who logs on from different devices, is that counted as one unique user or different unique users?

All users browsing anonymously (without logging in) are identified through a cookie generated unique identifier. This unique identifier is generated by the vue.ai embed code and is persisted until the user clears their cookies. If unique user identification is set up for logged in users (device-agnostic), they can be identified across devices once the embed code detects a logged in user. The association between the cookie generated identifier and device-agnostic user identifier is made and the user is treated as unique across devices.

  1. Are the reports and metrics in real-time or are they updated at specific times?

The metrics are updated 3-4 times a day. Audience segments are refreshed/recomputed once a day.

  1. Does export audiences feature adhere to privacy standards?

Yes, no data that is PII (Personally Identifiable Information) is collected by the VueX embed code. User IDs that contain PII are hashed before they are stored in the Vue.ai database. There is a reverse hash API that is exposed to customers that wish to export user IDs that were hashed before entering the Vue.ai database.

  1. Can audiences be imported from 3rd party data sources?
